Something old something new something borrowed something blue ish....

Yet another shot from Shawn Bradley's fadernoise productions studio.  Birthday Boys were recording new tracks a few weeks ago, this pic is during the recording of Something for Nothing.

I'm playing a 1985 Maco Traditionals tb-1, ever heard of it? nor had I.  It was purchased in San Diego and the strings hadn't been changed since the late 80's!!!!!!!!! it sounded like a dying muskrat gasping for it's last beautiful breath.  Ugly, but perfect in it's defeat I suppose.  The pickups were loose and partially hanging out.  It was last used on Mellowdrone's Glassblower in 2000 in LA.

Stay tuned for more tidbits of information that you wont need until someone asks if you know us, which you will, because we'll be huge.  They'll  be all like, "oh hey, do you know this awesome band Birthday Boys"? We just took some band photos in the coolest hair parlour this side of heaven. That misty being in the middle is Linz - she owns the joint, in fact she kinda runs the town. Photos to come.

TAKIN' IT TO THE TAXMAN

We're gonna be in Toronto at the Horseshoe Tavern on Thursday July 21 - with Skirt Chasers, Huddle, and Lovely Killbots. We're on at 11:30 and tickets are a steal at 6 dollars, AND, we pay the HST!!!
Because here at Birthday Boys - we give you more than just hearing loss, we give you the misguided feeling that you're getting a deal.

HIGHWAY 7 REVISITED

Jordan and I are on our way home from the studio. We got two new ones done - some tunes no one has heard. Tentative titles:
- White Light Visions
- Something for Nothing
Though we may change 'something for nothing' to 'Sumfin4Nuffin' in an attempt to fit into the 'generation text' popular music landscape. The jury is still out on that one, so cast you vote here.
